في إطار تعزيز دور التعليم في تمكين المرأة و ضمن ركيزة الوقاية و الحماية ضمن الخطة الوطنية الثالثة للمرأة العراقية نظم قسم البرمجيات بالتعاون مع وحدة شؤون المرأة في كلية تكنولوجيا المعلومات ورشة عمل بعنوان "التعليم الجامعي ركيزة أساسية لحماية المرأة"، قدمتها كل من الدكتورة صفا سعد والمدرس المساعد إبرار سعد و بحضور عدد من طالبات القسم.

تناولت الورشة دور التعليم الجامعي في تعزيز مكانة المرأة على الأصعدة الاجتماعية والاقتصادية، حيث تم تسليط الضوء على تأثير التعليم في تحسين أفكار المرأة وتطلعاتها، وكذلك في تطوير علاقاتها مع الآخرين. كما تم التركيز على كيفية تحقيق التنسيق بين الحياة الأسرية والمهنية، مع الإشارة إلى أهمية التعليم الجامعي في تزويد المرأة بالأدوات اللازمة للتفاعل مع المجتمع بشكل إيجابي.

و أكدت الورشة على أهمية التعليم الجامعي في تمكين المرأة، موضحة أن الحصول على شهادة جامعية لا يقتصر على توفير فرص العمل، بل يعزز من مكانتها الاجتماعية، ويمكنها من الوصول إلى مناصب هامة وحساسة. كما يساهم التعليم في تعزيز ثقة المرأة بنفسها، ويمنحها الاستقلال المالي ويساعدها على المشاركة الفعالة في بناء المجتمع وتنميته.

وهدفت الورشة إلى رفع الوعي حول الفوائد المتعددة التي يمكن أن تحققها المرأة من خلال التعليم الجامعي، حيث يعزز من قدرتها على تحمل المسؤولية ويمنحها الفرص اللازمة لتحقيق طموحاتها الشخصية والمهنية و خطوة مهمة في سلسلة الأنشطة التي تهدف إلى دعم المرأة وتعزيز مكانتها في المجتمع من خلال التعليم والتطوير المستمر.

Software Department and Women s Affairs Unit Organize Workshop on "Higher Education as a Key Pillar for Women s Empowerment"

As part of enhancing the role of education in empowering women and within the framework of prevention and protection outlined in the Third National Plan for Iraqi Women, the Software Department, in collaboration with the Women s Affairs Unit at the College of Information Technology, organized a workshop titled "Higher Education: A Fundamental Pillar for Protecting Women." The workshop was delivered by Dr. Safa Saad and Assistant Lecturer Ibraar Saad, with the attendance of several female students from the department.

The workshop focused on the vital role of higher education in enhancing women’s social and economic status. It highlighted how education improves women’s thoughts and aspirations, while also fostering better relationships with others. Additionally, it addressed the importance of balancing family life with professional growth, emphasizing how higher education equips women with the necessary tools to interact positively within society.

The workshop further underscored the significance of university education in empowering women, noting that a university degree not only opens up career opportunities but also enhances a woman’s social standing. It enables women to secure significant and sensitive positions in society, boosts their self-confidence, and provides financial independence. Furthermore, higher education allows women to actively contribute to community development and societal growth.

The primary goal of the workshop was to raise awareness about the multifaceted benefits women can achieve through higher education. It strengthens their ability to take on responsibilities, provides opportunities to fulfill both personal and professional ambitions, and represents a key step in a series of initiatives aimed at supporting and uplifting women through continuous education and development.
