استقبلت كلية تكنولوجيا المعلومات متمثلة بعميدها الاستاذ الدكتور وسام سمير بهيه ورئيس قسم الشبكات الاستاذ الدكتور الحارث عبدالكريم عبدالله والتدريسي في قسم الشبكات الاستاذ المساعد الدكتوراحمد مهدي محمد سعيد ، الطالب إبراهيم بيتر شكاري من نيجيريا،من مطار بغداد الدولي، ضمن مبادرة "ادرس في العراق"، والتي تهدف إلى تعزيز التعاون الأكاديمي والثقافي بين العراق والدول الشقيقة والصديقة. وسيلتحق الطالب إبراهيم بقسم شبكات المعلومات في الكلية للعام الدراسي 2024-2025، حيث سيقيم في الأقسام الداخلية المخصصة للطلبة الدوليين، والتي توفر جميع الخدمات اللازمة لضمان راحته واندماجه في البيئة الأكاديمية.

وأعرب مجلس قسم كلية تكنولوجيا المعلومات عن ترحيبه بالطالب الجديد، مؤكداً التزامه بتقديم الدعم اللازم لتمكينه من التفوق الأكاديمي والاشتراك في النشاطات العلمية والثقافية. تأتي هذه الخطوة في إطار الجهود المبذولة لتعزيز مكانة الجامعات العراقية كمراكز جذب للطلبة من مختلف دول العالم، استنادًا إلى جودة التعليم العالي والتنوع الثقافي الغني.

يُذكر أن مبادرة "ادرس في العراق" تشكل جزءًا من خطة استراتيجية تهدف إلى استقطاب الطلبة الأجانب للدراسة في الجامعات العراقية، مما يسهم في تعزيز التفاهم الدولي وتبادل الخبرات الأكاديمية.

College of Information Technology Welcomes a Nigerian Student as Part of the Study in Iraq Initiative

The College of Information Technology, represented by its Dean, Professor Wissam Sameer Bahiya, the Head of the Networks Department, Professor Al-Harith Abdul-Karim Abdullah, and Associate Professor Dr. Ahmed Mahdi Mohammed Saeed from the Networks Department, welcomed Nigerian student Ibrahim Peter Shokari upon his arrival at Baghdad International Airport. This reception is part of the "Study in Iraq" initiative, which aims to enhance academic and cultural cooperation between Iraq and friendly nations. Ibrahim will join the Department of Information Networks at the college for the academic year 2024–2025 and will reside in designated international student accommodations equipped with all necessary services to ensure his comfort and integration into the academic environment.

The College Council expressed their warm welcome to the new student, emphasizing their commitment to providing the necessary support to enable his academic excellence and participation in scientific and cultural activities. This initiative aligns with efforts to position Iraqi universities as attractive hubs for students worldwide, leveraging high-quality education and rich cultural diversity.

It is worth noting that the "Study in Iraq" initiative is part of a strategic plan to attract international students to Iraqi universities, fostering international understanding and the exchange of academic expertise.
